In this article, I shared my experience working on a year-long project to achieve feature parity for Fluent Store, our web app aimed at helping store assistants track orders. We faced several challenges and learned valuable lessons, but ultimately, we were able to improve our platform and provide a better user experience.

This blog is a quick and simple step to create a list page on OMS. It also contains some code templates that can be used for future reference.  Here are the steps to create an OMS list page:

• Define the entity query via graphQL and the fields that you  want to display on the list;
• create a new manifest setting;
• add a `fc.list` section to the new setting;
• Update language setting to display the labels;
• Add a new reference in the manifest route (left navigator panel);

Inventory Accelerator is a feature introduced by Fluent Commerce to enhance inventory processing speed and efficiency by filtering redundant data. Built on AWS Glue, it identifies and processes only changed inventory items, significantly improving performance and resource utilization. Performance tests show substantial reductions in execution time, particularly with higher amounts of redundant data.

Fluent Order Management System (OMS) implements a three-layer inventory architecture designed to provide real-time inventory accuracy and prevent order cancellations during high-traffic scenarios. This guide documents the platform's core concepts, integration patterns, and implementation details.

• At a high level, each location has an opening hours setup that can be used for store activities. One example is during the fulfilment allocation phase, the OMS will calculate the fulfilment expiry time for the store, and the store staff will have sufficient time to process the fulfilment before it expires.
• So, in the real world, the opening hours can change week by week, so one of the features that can be added to the OMS Store is to allow the Store Manager to update the opening Schedule hours directly in OMS via the Fluent STORE app.

It is crucial to build and use small composable rules in order management. Smaller rules are easier to write, test, and debug, and they offer greater flexibility, reusability, and cost-effectiveness. In turn, this enhances productivity and delivers more value to customers.

Complex names, too many parameters, and excessive logging may indicate that your Rules are doing too much. You should break down large Rules into smaller, composable ones to simplify workflows and improve maintainability. It is important to keep rules concise so they are more efficient and easier to read.
